Chocolate and Chilli Pudding recipe
Despite conventional wisdom, Chocolate and chilli are a match made in heaven! So why not experiment with this coupling in this delicious dessert recipe.

Ingredients

70g dark chocolate
100g low fat spread
Pinch of chilli flakes (use to your required heat preference)
15g Canderel granules
3 eggs
50g plain flour

Directions

Preheat the oven to 200C (400F) Gas 6.

Add the chocolate, low fat spread and chilli flakes to a heat proof bowl then sit it over a pan of barely simmering water, stir until melted then remove from the heat and leave to cool for about 10 minutes.

Now add the Canderel and stir well so it all combines then add the eggs one at a time, stirring to incorporate each time then add the flour and stir again.

Pour the mixture into oven proof pudding basins, moulds or ramekins and put in the oven to bake for about 10-12 mins until the tops are firm but springy.

Avoid overcooking them as you want the middle to remain gooey. Dust the top with Canderel and serve while hot with low fat creme fraiche.

Comments

Tip: Always use a chocolate with 70% plus cocoa solids.
