Tomato Herb Toast recipe
Make these cheesy Tomato Herb Toast Triangles and serve as a quick and simple snack.

Ingredients

4 piece 100% whole grain bread
1 tbsp vegetable oil
2 fresh plum tomatoes
1/2 tsp dried basil
1 pinch salt
1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1 pinch black pepper

Directions

Preheat oven to 375F/190 C.

Place bread on baking sheet. Brush tops with oil. Bake 6 to 8 minutes or until toasted.

Dice tomatoes.

In small mixing bowl, combine tomato and basil. Add salt and pepper to taste.

Spoon onto bread slices. Sprinkle with cheese.

Bake 3 to 4 minutes until cheese is melted. Cut each slice into triangles. Serve.
